first printer spooler, turned on spooler to no avail first problem

Hello
 
I m Kathy and very happy to be part of the community.  I am having several prombles with my windows 7 computer.
 
Spooler/printer/drivers/tunnel adapter/adding a printer.  My computer will not automatically shutdown or restart.

To add to what Sherry said just hold down the Power Button and do a Hard Reboot and see if that works.
