My name is Rebecca , I had Geek Squak and Woobroot software for the last year.  I bust renewed my Woobroot and received my new software disc in the mail.  I put it in thinking it would update my Webroot that was overdue bye two weeks.  I had gotten email saying I still had time to renew it, and that it was I did.  But now when I installed the disc they are asking for my Key Number.  There are two different numbers on the front of software package, which one is the key number?  I have had my computer for one year and two weeks.  It is a Lenovo Thinkpad.  I have not had any problems at all with it .  It Had the 8.1 operating system.  This is what had happened.  Windows would automatically update me.  They sent me Windows 10 and installed it in my computer at night when I was sleeping.  I woke in the morning to a NIGHTMARE.  No kidding. Microsoft techs have worked on computer for two days.  They ended up taking off Windows 10 and putting back Windows 8.1.  Put I have a few bugs now.  None of which I had before.  Please Help.  I had Office Student & Home 2013.  It is no where to be found except my control panel.  And when I try to bring it up it says error.  Along with all the other programs on my Desktop accept.k Internet Explorer.  I can search the web, watch vicdeos,  Open Windows Office on lline, but it will not open off line.  I am going to renew my Geek Squad license for another year today.  Do you think I should take it in to Best Buy for repair.  Or Do you think that because Microsoft is the one that caused all this damage with the Windows ten they should fix it.  They are so busy that there is a two hour wait to call them.  Thats how many bugs there are in Windows 10.  Also They were suppose to have an appointment with me on Wednesday to fix my computer remotely, they never called.  And again on Thursday, yesterday they had an appoijntment, again they never called to work on my machine.  I am at my wits end.  PLEASE  help.  Sincerely, Rebecca     [edited for privacy]      Thats my email.  In case anywone can help me.
Hi Rebecca,

Welcome to the community your keycode should be 20 numbers/letters long for example: SA4D-****-****-****-AAA3 if your keycode doesn't work what you received I suggest you contact webroot support click here who will be happy to help you with this issue.

Please keep us updated Thanks Adam.

Edit: in regards to Microsoft being let into your pc did you have basic or privileged support only reason I am asking is if it's basic they will only do so much to sort your pc out. If it is a paid support they should fix the problem and not leave your pc till it is sorted. If they made your pc worse it is there responsibility to sort it out.
Hi Rebecca, You do have the opportunity to revert back to Windows 8.1 on your install. Go to Start/Settings/Updates & Security/Recovery..........and there should be the option to revert to your previous Operating System. There is also the option to Repair Windows 10 which would likely do the trick for you. Unfortunately Windows 10 deletes the Office apps because it wants you to use the new cloud office. If you have a installer disc for office, you can re-install the program.

1. If you have not deleted the Windows.old.

2. If you installed Windows 10 less than 30 days ago.

If you meet the above requirements, you can roll back to your previous Windows operating system

Do let us know if the option exists and your intentions?
Hi Johnson615

Welcome to the Community Forums.

I think that there is a need to clarify that if your version fo WSA is from Best Buy/Geek Squad then it is a different version than the one that is sold by Webroot and NON Best Buy retailers...hopefully your renwal was through Best Buy/Geek Squad because if it was not but cam e from Webroot then the Webroot keycode wil not work with the Best Buy version & vice versa.
