I bought a switch from Tripp-Lite that allows 2 computers to share a single printer. This switch can be triggered between the 2 computers either manually or automatically. The automatic mode detects the origin of a print command and switches between computers, as required. Webroot says that the installation EXE that implements the switching action (EXE came on a CD in the delivery box) is corrupted with this malware:

W32.Trojan.Bumat

Thus I did not run this EXE. Instead I downloaded the installation driver from Tripp-Lite's website, but Webroot shows that it too is corrupted.

Am I probably seeing a false positive?
Is W32.Trojan.Bumat harmless, or is it virulent?

The best thing to do is Submit a Support Ticket and they can check it to make sure it's malware or a false positive!
