my computer is running very slow and the internet explorer keeps shutting down and rebooting

Can you tell me if you have Webroot installed? Have you ran a WR scan? There can be numerous reaons why your computer runs slow..could be PUA's...causing these shutdowns possibly?
 
But my best advise is to submit a support ticket free of charge if you have a Webroot subscription.They can check if you have any concerns of Malware.
