Hi TripleHelix,
I just checked this post today after I noticed the appearance of a new Update Keycode button in the home screen of the Webroot app on my PC.
At first I thought I had to renew my subscription, but after having checked by records, I realized I still had time left before my next renewal. Microsoft recently tried a similar approach with its 365 office desktop apps, which caused massive confusion and resulted in that button being removed from the backstage sidebar. In my opinion, the word “Update” leads to confusion, because a user is lead to believe action is needed now to update something. It might be clearer to the user if the development team were to label that button to say “Change keycode” or “Switch keycode”.

@rupertsland All it does when you click on the new button it takes you to your account area within the UI.
It's not a big deal to me, it would be if it opened a browser to a Webroot website.
Cheers,
