Well I guess the Webroot Employees are overworked working from home to post the release on the release date.
You and me both

Except it doesn’t work. Begins to load then freezes at about 10-15% ...like the last updates that supposedly worked. I removed my old version of Webroot after upgrading to Catalina because it was in a perpetual disk scan; after 2 days I pulled the plug. Had to remove it in safe mode. So now I have no “remnents” of Webroot on the computer. What the heck are you supposed to do to get the thing up and running again?

Has this issue been fixed yet. I had a user upgrade to Big Sur. Cloud console indicated they are running 9.1.0.144. It's not operational and will not perform a scan. I tried installing 9.1.4.123 and as soon as I add the license key the application closes out.
How can Webroot continue to have this many issues and keep offering this product? This is the same performance they had with the last Mac OS upgrade that took them 6 months to figure out.

Thank you! This worked for me.
New to Webroot. Downloaded the app from the signup email. Registration worked but then it kept saying Failed to download latest version.
The above download worked but I’m not sure this is a great look.
We are coming to this app for security ….and then can only get it working by downloading a new software package, via a forum post link, that’s not even on a webroot.com domain?
Cheers,
Before all this I had submitted a support ticket about the download version and that LastPass partnership link wasn’t working. They could solve neither remotely and offered to call for a couple of hours with tech support.
Unfortunately the above version was short lived. While the PC version worked fine, the Mac version was a disaster. Made all sorts of apps immediately unusable - including Firefox. I guess a lot of this was incompatibility issues with Catalina, which it then recommended I update to an even newer version - causing more incompatibility issues. Including then crippling Safari which left me with no working browsers.
In the end, had to erase the entire machine and re-install the OS fresh.
Applied for a Webroot refund and bought a subscription to Bitdefender. Now all working perfectly on PCs and Macs. Not a great webroot experience and a wasted weekend.
