Joker is Spyware and a premium subscription bot that was found on Google Play. It has been detected in 24 apps so far with over 472,000 installs. The name "the Joker" was borrowed from one of the C&C domain names. It silently simulates the interaction with advertisement sites, steals SMS messages, contacts, and device info. Google has already removed all of the apps listed in this article from Google Play and we have had these marked in our system since early last week.
