I am getting an error message: " Component installer request" has failed. What causes this problem and how do I solve it? I am using an Imac computer.
How do i install webroot on my tablet?
User Account Control pops up a message every time the PC starts asking if I want to allow Webroot SecureAnywhere to make changes to the computer. Following suggestions posted here, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. The program at first refused to uninstall, although Webroot online said it was uninstalled. I tried uninstalling using both the Webroot program link and Windows 7 programs and features. I also ran CleanWDF more than once. The only thing that prevented the popup was manually deleting WRSA.exe. However, after reinstalling, the popup is back. What can be done about this nuisance? Thank you.

I have a premium account for LastPass and a Premium account for Webroot Secure Anywhere. Now that these two companies have come together within the product known as Webroot Secure Anywhere should I when it comes to renewal of my Lastpass account let it lapse and then take up the offer of using LassPass within Webroot Secure Anywhere? Also is the LastPass product within Secure Anywhere the same as the LastPass Premium product that I already have?
I think I`ve read on here about this problem before, and thought it had been addressed. Checked my available space on my SSD yesterday, and noticed it had dropped a lot. Couldnt understand why as I had cleaned up all restore points etc and hadn`t installed anything. Checked the Program Data folder, and noticed Webroot`s WRData folder was One GIGABYTE in size!! What the hell!? I reinstalled WSA, and that corrected the problem. Thing is, is this folder just going to increase again in size for evermore, or is there a fix for it? Otherwise I may have to choose another Security solution as I don`t want to be uninstalling/reinstalling every time this folder gets too big..Any thoughts? Kind Regards George
I am hoping this isn't true - when Webroot decideds to delete files, there is no way to recover them? Can that possibly be true?
Hello, I am also having an issue with the Secure Anywhere Complete edition. It will not allow me to login and says that my email or password is not correct. I know that I am putting it in correctly, as well as the keycode. I have installed the regular versions on my devices because I couldn't get the Complete to work, and my devices show up in my account after I login, but for some reason the Complete will not accept my creds. I have changed the password so many times trying to get it to work. I really like this product and the best feature is the cross-device compatibility. Can someone help me out here? Keep in mind that I can login to everything else just fine, but it does seem to want one password on my PC for the sync login and a different one on the web portal. At any rate, I can at least figure that out. Please help. Thank you.
When I open Webroot to do a scan it say's "first scan not complete" In the past I have made sure all my scans were complete so, I don't know why I'm getting this message. I'm unable to move past this issue and complete or run a new scan.
Discovered McAfee is still on my pc when they billed me for another year :@ Called them and got that issue resolved but after searching internet and some posts in this forum, regarding McAfee, I find it seems to be all over the place in my pc. When I clicked on McAfee folders a drop-down menu offered some different choices, amoung them : "scan with webroot" (which I did & no threats were found), "Webroot permanently erase" and another option "Delete" (which I assume is Windows). In my pc I do not have anything McAfee listed in my uninstall program section, yet I seem to be finding McA. folders all over the place. When I have clicked on "delete" Windows File Operation requests my permission to make changes to my computer (I assume that deleting the files are the changes), sometimes when I click delete I get a "recycling window" . I also found a software removal tool (from Google, but I don't really have any idea what it would do or what it
Everytime I run "scan my computer" using the webroot secureanywhere complete I get "4" threats removed (see image). How can I find out which "threats" were removed. I have saved the scan log. Can somebody help me? Thanks!!
I have a Surface Pro 3 running Windows 10. I installed Webroot SecureAnyWhere, version says 9.0.8.80. Task Manager says Webroot is running in 32 bit mode. Did I do something wrong?
I'm getting a warning about malware group W32.LocalInfect.1 from dtsetuphelper.ese. I downloaded from daemon tools website daemon-tools.cc
About a week ago (give or take), my Prevx software switched over to Webroot. I honestly don't know what changes were made, but I DO know that some were. Round about the same time, my Remote Desktop Connection to another system stopped working. When trying to connect from my WinXP machine to my Win7 machine, I started getting the following error: An authentication error has occurred (Code: 0x507). Anyone know what might have happened? My next step is to reload a restore point of a couple weeks back, but I'd like to avoid this if there's a simple fix. Thanks for any help.
Hello, I have been a WR user for many years so when it was time to get a new code for all our computers I did not hesitate. I have updated all the computers and phones but now about every 30 minutes there is a pop up about a new WebRoot user agreement. I have tried rebooting, opening it and scrolling through it and turning off the application and restarting but the problem persists on all of the Windows 10 devices. What is the solution, it is very annoying especially when I am in the middle of something and it pops up?
Hi there, How does that with Webroot VPN work? Does it need to get bought separately or is it in any package included? Thank you,
When I clic on the program icon to open, nothing happens. Reinstall? How?
Question What is the difference between the various tabs in WSA which you can set items to "Allow," "Protect/Monitor," or "Block/Deny?" 1. PC Security > Quarantine > Detection Configuration 2. Identity & Privacy > Protected Applications 3. System Tools > System Control > Control Active Processes Answer 1. PC Security > Quarantine > Detection Configuration If an item is set to Allow in this area, it ignores it during scans and shield actions, meaning if it's a virus that has been allowed, it can continue acting as a virus acts. Be careful of what you allow in this area and ensure it's something you trust implicitly if you are going to change the status from Block to Allow. If an item is set to Monitor, it causes Webroot to watch the item to determine if it is legitimate or related to malware. It is not necessary to add files into this list or set files to monitor manually unless you are changing them from a Block or Allow status. This might be useful if for e
I've tried every away I can think of to bypass, but I can't even open attachments to my email. I've already completely diabled Windows firewall but nothing changes. If I can't find a solution I'll have to find a different security package for my computers.
The green circle that denotes that folders/files have been synced to the cloud shows up on the main storage folders but on none of the subfolders or files. It does not show up at all on the Webroot Anywhere folder. The files appear to be synced correctly. The green circle is just not showing up except on the main folders. This occured after I was instructed by tech support to remove all folders from the cloud and start over. (something had caused all my folders/files..including the Webroot Anywhere folder.... to disappear from the 'Folders' section of the "Backup and Sync" settings.) When I created the new empty folders & linked them to my pc, they showed with the green circle. After adding subfolders/files, the green circle does not show on the added folders/files. The folders/files are being synced to the cloud. I miss having the green circle ... it saves me time...not having to check to make sure my doc has synced
I get notifications multpile times a day that both Webroot and Windows defender are turned off. This has happened since I had to uninstall and then reinstall Webroot to my computer. I am thinkinging there were possibly some files that didn’t fully get removed during the install that are now causing an issue with windows recognizing webroot. Please let me know how this can be fixed. I am concerned by it not only because it is annoying, but I do not want my computer left vulnerable since my webroot program now seems to freeze, hang, or close it self down at random times. I am on Windows Home, Dell Inspirion 7777, Please advise.
I am using HRD Software LLC "Ham Radio Deluxe" which uses "alerter.exe". Webroot reports this as an infection. How do I add an excepton in Webroot to ignore this.? Thank you, Tom Grove
I just renewed my Webroot softward. I went to the Webroot console and updated my Key Code. Then I was sent an email so I can confirm, but it's asking me to enter certain letters from my "Security Code". What is that? It's not the Key Code. It's not my password. Where do I find this?
Hello. An error message regarding WRSA.exe appears every time I start my computer. How could I fix it??? Many thanks, greysmouth BO IT.
