Is Anybody Else Facing Major System Performance Issues Since Today’s 9.0.35.12 Update for WSRA A Little More ContextI am Running Latest Version of windows 1022H2 Build 19045.3086I9 10900K No Over Clock64GB RamGTX1080Ti2TB 980Pro NvME SSD Firefox 114.02 x64 (Firefox is Immensely Slowed When Web-root Active)Edge Version 114.0.1823.51 (Official build) (64-bit)  Also Intermittency Slow but still super noticeable. and Just Generally Poor System performance attempting to accomplish seemingly any task within windows. I know for a fact that the Issue is Webroot as that's the only program that has updated its self today and as soon as I close it my system is back to its usual self and all my issues are immediately gone Let me know if any other people are having issues WannabICT System Administrator L318 Years on Job Experience

I received a Security news article email from webrootsecurescoop@service-webroot.com. After performing a whois on this domain name, I am finiding that it is not registered to Webroot Inc. Is this legit or phish Also webrootanywhere.com is not registered to webroot company - is that legit - I hope so as this is the site I log into when going to the Webroot console. Yikes Joe

Hi all,The system analyse from Webroot Secure Anywhere reports f.e. a handle-leak(explorer.exe) with a system analyse from tools.Sometimes it occurs only while running a program. Running Microsoft Edge and Facebook together and closing  these a scan also results in this message. After restarting the computer this is solved. How to improve my system? In my opinion these messages must be taking serious. Kind regards, Jan Florijn  

  Windows 10 installedI have installed Webroot:  Secure Anywhere ce 22.2After I clicked on a link to view a movie I have been receiving these message; notifications. Receiving notifications your computer is infected anti-virus updated required.Notifications received:Windows WebAdvisor: viruses found 5, your computer is infected by viruses.  Click here to renew anti-virus;12:27 pm qwwnvw.smarteye.com------McAfee critical virus alert, click here to renew antivirus;1:24 & 1:25 pm qwwnvw.smarteye.com-------Trojan.win32.generic detected.;----Norton Anti-virus message: your windows 10 is infected with 5 viruses   time 12:20 pm & 12:27 pm qwwnvw.smarteye.com-----Checked startups nothing found; checked add-ons could not find Web Advisor;Checked extensions could not find Web AdvisorChecked control panel for could not find McAfee; If I turn off notifications, I do not receive ant notices.Ran Webroot did not find any virsuses.  

Does Webroot turn off Windows Defender?

Hi, I just finished up getting this to run well on my Windows 8 machine, now on my Macbook with Lion 10.7.5, The initial scan says it's scanning, but the Files scanned: Threats: Processes all stay at 0 and the Time elapsed just continues to climb.  Also in my dashboard it says 3 PC's protected but the Macbook does not show up there.  In the My Account section, under status it says Waiting for license even though I have input the license key successfully.  The only way to exit the program is to kill it out of activity monitor.  Clicking on the icon in the system try to kill it does not work.  There is no context menu choice to scan items either.     So it sounded like a broken install at that point, so removed it and tried to reinstall.  That failed with the same behavior.  Then I REINSTALLED LION and updated it to 10.7.5 and it still happens.  I'm stumped.   Help?

If Webroot can restore my files remotely, why do I need a CD? Sounds like my computer content already lives on your server(s).

I have WebRoot on two computers and want to install it ton my IPAD. From everything I read, I need to download it from the App Store, which I’ve successfully done. How do I add the IPAD? My account still shows I only have two computer protected and no mobile devices. I’ve looked at related topics, but still having problems.

Why is the renewal cost ($79) so much more than just rebuying new software $29.99)? Got renewal notice and link and it seems like I can just save over half the cost by getting regular software. Am I missing something?

Hi, Guys Another problem with either my understanding of Complete or maybe the program itself. Yes, I read the other 3 page thread on my issue but found no help. I decided to post a new thread for myrequest since the other thread looked to have become rather convoluted.   In short, the website red/green indication does not show up on either a Google or Bing search. This is in both IE and Firefox, both updated. Google is a HTTPS search so I would expect it to not show based on the info in the other thread but Bing is HTTP in both browsers so should give indication of a web site's safety of lack thereof. No such luck with my install of Webroot Complete. I have tried turning the feature off and back on with no results -- the action is the same. I have Malewarebytes Pro running as well as Windows Security. There is no other security or maleware software installed on this new machine. It is an ASUS laptop running Win 7 Pro 64 bit. Webroot SecureAnywhere has found Threat: searchprotect1204.exe Infection: Pua Conduit Search  on my PC and shows that it is trying to remove it.    The screen says Threat Removal Now in Progresss... Removing malicious threats.... Status shows: Queued   My question is how long should this proceedure take?  It has been over an hour and I see no movement at on on the progress bar and the status still just shows Queued.   Is this stuck and how do I go about aborting it and starting over?    

I can't get anywhere with this bs...   I can't retrieve my pasword as it says I need to confirm my secuirty code. Once entering the code characters requested (which appear in my software as being correct and activated) it says they're wrong. I've emailed support and they've not gotten back to me. Its been 2 days now.   The software should either explain better what code they're asking for as I do not recall setting an additional code, like a master or anything (ala lastpass). Or they need to fix this confirmation procedure which seems to have a bug.   I find this process really annoying and unhelpful. I just want to be able to use the software which I paid for without a headache. apperently that's asking WAAAY to much.   -Kyle

Hey everyone,I am new to this community and I would just like to say hello and thank you in advance for any help.  So here is the issue that I am having….. It seems as though webroot firewall, etc. is somehow blocking ALL smtp ports from my device.  I have tried to look at some of these older articles about looking up the causes.  Unfortunately I am not that tech savvy so I need a step by step list to follow.  For example if I am trying to unblock port 25 or 465, etc. what do I look for in the active processes list to allow me to do such that. Again thank you very much in advance,Jason Conway

One of the coolest features of System Analyzer is that it finds system devices on your PC that were installed incorrectly. Specifically, it will tell you "Some system devices are not functioning properly and may need to be reinstalled."   But WHICH programs are at fault? Here's how to find out.   First, click on "View Full Report" at the bottom of your System Analysis. This report will identify the programs that are corrupt and need to be reinstalled.       Then, scroll down on the full report until you see "Devices Experiencing Problems." Here you'll see exactly what's causing issues and you can then uninstall and reinstall as necessary.      

Hello Everyone.I just scanned my computer, and noticed webfoot is Frozen at 11%. I tried scanning again, same issue. I did scan with my Malwarebyes, there was no issue. Here is the screen-shotThanks 

So I've been using Webroot SecureAnywhere for a few years now, and I'm trying to install it on a new computer. I see I need an email so I create my account and the problem is when I get the confirmation email the link just takes me to the login screen with "you are now logged off" above the bar for the email.   No matter what it won't take me to any page that let's me confirm my email address.

After installing Webroot, I was no longer able to access Google Chrome.  I added chrome.exe as “allow” under PC Security which now lets me open a chrome browser.  However, I am not able to access any links in Microsoft Outlook.  I’m not even able to access the “Visit User Guide” or “Learn More” in the Webroot app itself.  The cursor just spins for a moment then ….nothing.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks!

I find that Password manager doesn't work on ANY browser! Am I wrong?? I even tried the tip that I found of rolling my firefox browser back to previous version, with no luck. (Originally I used Chrome) When will this be fixed? I cannot even access my passwords AT ALL!!! NOT HAPPY.

I am being told verification email sent because pc not recognised.  My colleague tried same and is getting them.  I’ve been receiving them previously.  Can’t use password manager if I can’t verify the machine 

Webroot told me that if I renew prior to my current subscription expiring I will lose the remaining days on my current subscription.

Been with Webroot for over 6 years now. I have done this now each time. I was told this round though to call Sales... Which I did and told they don't add time to current keycodes. Said yet they have, done it many time.. reply was "no we haven't, never have... yet I wont argue with you about it"... he wasn't being rude, just matter of fact attitude. Anyways, I take great dissatisfaction from this. As said this has been done so many times and the reason why I stay with webroot as the ease of it as some systems on my 5 license aren't easily accessible. So I ask, is there anyone that can do what has been done 5 or 6 times already without an issue. All has been great in the past with this very issue up until now. I think you are blocking Bethesda forums and I can't find anything newer than one year old  to instruct here how to check this. None of your pages have the current information on them and I can't see how to check if you are blocking them or not.   Really special that you change stuff but you don't bother on updating the customer instructions.   :@   Why is this? Where exactly to look to see if you are blocking them or not??!!   -edited- clarity
