PopUp Malware

For a few days now I getting Popup tabs in my FireFox (latest version).

It appears to be a "we'll fix your computer" scam ... downloadopensoftware.com ... a loading screen is popnexus.com/

WebRoot is not catching anything live ... and nothing is detected in either a scheduled scan or a manual scan.  I've also scanned with MalWareBytes.

Something has obviously worked its way into my laptop ..Any ideas?

Thanks

The "loader" screen is popnexsus.com - one more "s" than what I typed above.

Hi @!

I would recommend you to contact support as they can provide you better help in cleaning your PC and also check why WSA didn't protect you.
You can either contact them via https://www.webrootanywhere.com/servicewelcome.asp or you can right-click the WSA icon in your taskbar and choose "Help and Support".

Meanwhile could you please remove the URLs from your posts?
This will prevent that someone unwarily visits those sites and gets himself infected.

Webroot doesnt included a pop-up blocker, its not detecting anything as its a browser pop-up. I would install a browser ad-blocker, since your using Firefox I would install the most popular extension (ad-block). This will stop this issue.
