Hello and Welcome to the Webroot Community!

May I ask how do you know you were infected? Are you using an Email client or Web mail? Do you have and did you have WSA installed during this so called infection?

Thanks,

Daniel 😉

I did not have webroots until I had my computer cleaned. I was using ESET virus protection. My service provider told me I must have had a virus to cause me to get blacklisted.

Is your email provided by your service provider, or are you using a service such as Gmail, Yahoo, etc?

Well now that your clean you have to talk to your service provider and tell them I'm all cleaned now so can I get unblacklisted and it was because of an infection that is not on my system anymore. Even ask them for a new IP address if it is a static one?

HTH,

Daniel ;)
Yup.. that is exactly what I was getting at.  :)  Contact the provider of the email, which may be different than the ISP in some cases.

It is a pain when you get Blacklisted it happen to me a long time ago as one of my old Hotmail accounts and via web mail was spamming all my contacts so I changed the password and deleted all my contacts and then asked Hotmail to close it and it wasn't from my system but Web Mail so in the end I had to talk to my ISP and tell them I'm not a spammer it was because of a problem from my Hotmail account not even from my system. :@
