How much does backup back up?

How much does the backup & sync feature back up? A single gig? 10 GB?  100 GB?  4k? Grandparents with huge numbers of photos, OTR, and videos want to know.

        Regardless of what yo think about your potential questions...we like questions here...that what we all come here for...answers to questions...and I would therefore say that there are no stupid questions (if they are posed genuinely).
         
        I  have learned alot here in the past from the answers to apparently silly questions. ;)
