Hello and thanks for looking at my question..     Scenario one, a user visits a site and is alerted by your software that is a risky site. The user chooses to ignore the warning and contiunes to view the site.   in this scenario has the user told WSE to trust anything coming from this site?   I ask this because I want to visit a site that is flagged, which i find hard to believe, but I don't want to openmyself up to virus. If I don't download anything from the site and just read the text, am i still safe?    

I was wondering if anyone else was using WSA with another AV. I know WSA has become much more robust than the Prevx days when it was marketed as an additional security layer to detect the threats that other AV's commonly missed. If you are using WSA with another AV then are you having any conflicts? I just installed WSA 8.0.4.17 with the final release of NOD 32 V7.0.302.0. I have not rebooted yet, but immediately I just had an issue with Firefox right after installing WSA. I clicked Firefox, and it never did run. I waited for about 30 seconds, and it never ran. I clicked it again, and it ran about 3 seconds after I clicked it a second time. I checked the task manager, and there was 2 instances of Firefox running.

I just bought a renewal subscription for my PC, I went to "My Account" and clicked activate a new keycode. I placed the new key listed in the email sent to me and hit activate.. but received an error message saying the kay has expired. How is that possible? Please help, I am unsure what I am doing wrong   Thanks

I've been having this error in google chrome since 2 weeks ago when there was an update for the browser.   Error code: ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR    People say it's related to the new SSL modifications google is doing.   People on other forums are saying to disable SSL scanning in anti virus software from another brand and I do not see this option in Webroot.   There was someone that didn't have the other brand was mentioned and they had yet another brand that had the same issue.   Anyone here on Google chrome that has this error? 

Is Webroot compatible with the new macOS update Catalina 10.15.5?   BTW still have not heard if Webroot is compatible with macOS Catalina 10.15.4 

Recent tried W10 in Oracle VirtualBox briefly but since I had a spare HD, I installed that and put W10 on it.  Ater installing it yesterday and installing a few programs one of which was Webroot.  That was build 9841 but I heard that 9860 was out so I forced the update.   After churning away for over an hour, I find the install stop because I needed to uninstall Webroot.  I had the option to uninstall or pause so I clicked uninstall but it left the pause button there.  Some time later, I clicked on pause and find a window asking if I really wanted to uninstall Webroot.  More time but I bailed, rebooted, it continued to install and complete after about 45 minutes.   This morning booted into W10, I had reinstalled Webroot but I see no desktop icon.  After a few seconds, it boots with a message that it has problems.  It did this three times finally I was given the option to go into W7.  Looks like I'll have to reins

I have a Windows XP Pro machine with WRSA running (for a couple of years), and last night at 7:51pm AST a file named "Program" was created in the root directory (i.e., C:). As such, I received the Windows File Name Warning upon reboot that "There is a file or folder on your computer called "C:Program" which could cause certain applications to not fuction correctly. Renamintg it to "C:Program1" would solve this problem. Would you like to rename it now?"   Properties of the file indicate that it is 743 KB with a description of "Webroot SecureAnywhere" and is digitally signed as "Webroot Inc." with a digital signature timestamp of "Jan 14, 2014 7:36:45 AM". A hexdump of the file shows at the top the standard "This program cannot be run in DOS mode" and at the bottom, there appears things like "Company Name - Webroot", etc.   We have had WRSA installed for a couple of years and did not do anything special yesterday. Hello,   Just bought Webroot Secureanywhere Internet Security Plus 5 device license and have tried to mail support about deleting a console and some other questions I had about the software, but haven`t received any answer.   So I thought there maybe was someone in here that could do it.   What I want is to delete a console I used for testing and add the the new keycode to the password managment future because the trial keycode there will expire and I am not able to do it myself.   Things like adding keycode to password managment, deleting users you have created, deleting a console etc. should be done by the user himself. It's time to renew. Question, thru the renew link the price is more than double what i paid for the program initialy. That just don't sit well with me. i can however buy it straight out for what i bought my current for. if i purchase the standalone (skipping high priced rewewel) i assume i will get a new key. windows 10 pro x64 webroot 9 I just installed firefox but I can't run it unless I disable web shield in WSA. how can I allow applications in web shield?

Hello Friends,   I have been noticing the last couple of weeks that during Scheduled scanning it has 2 scan windows at the same time I'm wondering if anyone is seeing this also? As I have unchecked Hide the scan progress window during scheduled scans.   TH  

I have a major annoying problem with webroot.   Netflix doesn't use Silverlight in internet explorer 11   Instead it uses HTML5   Problem is that whenever I try to watch netflix I get sound but no video. I just get a black screen.   I have done testing and realised it is webroot causing this.   If I disable webroot netflix works fine.   If I re-enable webroot then netflix stops working.   I don't want to be having to disable my anti-virus just to watch netflix so anyone know how to fix this without disabling webroot?    

My webrood firewall is blocked and won't run on Windows 10. Is there a fix for that?

Nic how do you boot in to safe mode and reboot in to a normal mode? Appreciate your help.  

I am using MS Vista Home Edition and when I use any web browser (IE, Chrome, Foxfire) I get two of the same characters for the one I type. If I turn off Indentity Shield this goes away. I do not have this typing issue with other programs.I would like to keep Indentity Shield on. Any thoughts?

Hi,   WSA scans webpages and it slows down browsing. Is there anything the devs team can do to speed up browsing in the upcoming release without compromising security and the obvious disabling web protection?   Best Wishes, Amit

 Hi!   The heuristic option "Warn when any new program executes that is not specifically whitelisted" is not working on my end. I have a fresh install of Windows 10 Redstone x64. I tend to keep my webroot settings heuristics set to maximum since it doesn't bug any programs or games or anything as well as keeping the firewall set to "Warn if any new, untrusted process connects to the internet" (which i've seen in action dl'ing a program to clean up my PC and didn't see something i need to uncheck until after I hit "OKAY")  and it prompted to block the outgoing connection and a few seconds later deleted the whole 2nd thing it tried to download.    That being said, I saw this earlier today https://avlab.pl/sites/default/files/68files/ENG_2016_ransomware.pdf and by putting these settings up a bit (as to where i have it set now) does it actually help to possibly block these better? I know it's ransomware, and i know webroot does an awesome job blocking sites in real time to not even get infected in

On May 22nd I started receiving messages from Microsoft...not Webroot...about a Trojan Virus on my computer.  I called the 800 number on Webroot's page for support.  I was directed to a company called TechVantedge.  I ended up paying them $646 for assistance and the virus was still on my computer.  I took my computer to someone here locally, and paid him almost $300 to clear up the problem.  When I sent an inquiry to Webroot Support several weeks after that, I received a reply that Webroot provides free support to clear up viruses.  I asked for a supervisor or someone in charge to contact me regarding the $646 I had spent.  NO ONE has contacted me to date.  I am about to cancel my Webroot and report them to the Attorney General's office. 

How do I figure out which journaling db in WRData corresponds to which program being journaled? How do I "Allow" journaled applications that are not currently running? How do I see what applications I have manually Allowed which are not currently running? Is this data stored in the registry like the ID Shield information appear to be? When do the WRDataJoural registry keys get updated? Is this a reliable source of information yet? What happens if I delete these keys? In what situations would WSA wait for user input to clean up an infection when all the program settings are set to do everything automatically and not tell the user anything? Unable to get password

NOD32 and OA are being replaced with Norton 360 Premier. What is the proper method to install Norton on a Win7x64 system?  (Added: Norton is not being placed on my system, I regretted doing so over a decade ago and additional research showed I would regret it again.  Currently, only Webroot Secureanywhere Antivirus is installed.)   Webroot can be initially disabled but a reboot caused an upgrade of ESET to go really, really, bad. I would like to avoid this problem on the Win7 system.   The community is being asked because supports final answer was; "the Webroot software you own from us is a full antivirus suite meaning that is all you need, so you do not need to antivirus applications."     (edited to indicate change of mind)
