Opened e-z pass phishing email and clicked link. Quickly ran webroot scan that did not indicate any malware detected. Am I safe and what does the malwaredo?

There is an E-Z pass phishing scam campaign going around at the moment. Do not execute or run any attachements in it just delete the email. If you have any doubts create a support ticket and I can take a look at the scan logs.If you clicked on a link I would make sure if it asked you to enter any passwords to change said password from another PC.

It did not ask for passwords. or personal in formation. It just indicated that I did not owe E-Z pass any monry Strange/

Something strange, unusual or unexpected is often a good bet re. a phishing scam or some other sort of nasty...is manifesting itself.
