this has occurred since Google Chrome upgrade to version 38.0.2125.104
Is this caused by an incompaitable Weboot filtering extension?

You are correct in that it has to do with the Filter Extension and the new Chrome update. This has been a problem for the last week or so. That is the bad news.
The good news is we have word that Webroot is in the process of releasing a fix RIGHT NOW, that is the good news :) Please see THIS LINK to see if you can obtain the new version of the Filter Extension from Google Play (Google is now requiring that Browser Extensions be hosted on the Play Store for security reasons.)
