Actually it uses both in a sense as you just can't use the 64bit IE10 or 32bit IE10 by itself anymore so it uses both at the same time but I can't remember when this started?

Using IE10 x64 is still possible.
First ensure that all your add-ons are compatible with 64-bit mode. Disable any add-on that isn't available to the 64-bit architecture.
Turn on Enable Protected Mode: Internet Options » Security » Check the box of Enable Protected Mode under Internet zone
Turn on Enable Enhanced Protected Mode: Internet Options » Advanced » Scroll down to Security » Check the box of Enable Enhanced Protected Mode
Ensure that User Account Control (UAC) is enabled and  the slider is NOT set to Never notify
Restart the pc.

Unfortunately you're right as the web filtering extension has not been updated yet. Please use another browser, if any. We will have to wait a while.

@ If you reinstall the new beta v8.0.4.21 the web Shield has been updated but as DeHollander said it's still crashes in IE10 but Firefox it's fine but I don't know about Chrome as I don't use it? @ Maybe It's time to Submit a Support Ticket to get this looked at since you started this thread my Friend? ;)
