Hi donnahess1

Welcome to the Community Forums.

May I ask where yo are trying to download Adobe Reader from?  If not from http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/ then please try from there, as if you are using a 3rd party site WSA may be detecting addons or bundled software that it is objecting to.

Also, when you download from Adobe please make sure that you uncheck any option that offers to include additional downloads (the one that I have seen is for McAfee software) as these may also be taken by WSA as an attempt to download and install PUAs (Potentially Unwanted Applications) which WSA is designed to detect and block.

Try all of the above and come back to let us know if you have been successful or not, and if not we will look to advise further.

If you are really determined to turn off the Firewall then you can do so by clicking on the slider showing to the right of the Firewall option showing in the main application panel, under PC Security.  However, I really would not advise it as it reduces the protection that WSA is providing you with, and it should not be necessary to do so.

Finally, if you decide on this course of action, please remember that if you do that then to turn the Firewall back on once you have managed to download Adobe.
