I have the password management feature that works for Fire Fox but I want to switch browsers to internet explorer. How can I get the icon installed up in the right hand corner of internet explorer to access all of the sites in my password manager? Thanks for your help. CMC
I was wondering if anyone could offer a solution to this because I quite like the software otherwise. Since switching to Webroot ISP yesterday, I've started to experience a strange problem with the screen going blank (completely black i.e. monitor off) and then coming back on. It only lasts for about a second and does not affect any other processes while it is happening. Once today it went blank without coming back on again and the monitor went into standby mode which would suggest it is cutting the signal to it completely. It only seems to happen when the program is actively doing something, for example when I open up a new web page. It will also black out the screen without fail just after starting up as the pop-up box at the bottom right is fading. I am running Windows XP Pro 2002 SP3. Any suggestions?
Finally installed WSA IS literally 5 minutes ago. I've been using Avast Free. The first thing I noticed is that opening a browser is probably twice as fast with WSA installed vs. Avast Free. It was amazingly fast. Is there a tutorial or a webpage for recommendations for "getting to know WSA"? Links or suggested sections within the forums? Lastly, since I use Sandboxie to sandbox any and all browsers at all times, should I disable the webshield protection? I look forward to getting to know some of you and learning all I can about WSA.
I have downloaded the latest version of Newsbin Usenet program and it is somehow being blocked by Webroot firewall. When I disable Webroot firewall the program works just fine. When activate the firewall the program starts but cannot access the internet which basically renders it useless. I have checked what I THINK are all the relevant areas in the firewall and enabled the program but it still won't start with Webroot firewall active. Are there any suggestions? This is making my crazy. Thanks.

Are there any plans in the near future to make SecureAnywhere compatible with the Google Chrome browser? I have it for Firefox and IE9, but I love using Chrome the most and want the ability to use my password generator and storage for that.
Im getting the following message when trying to accesss my backup and sync on the web User could not be resolved. Please try later.
Hello, Just updated Opera to the latest build 12.00 and have noticed that WSA blocks Java's plugin (having Java SE 7 update 5). There is no other solution than to move Opera from Protected to Allow. Today, before update to Opera 12.00, no problems experienced, i.e. Opera set to Protected and Java plugins worked correctly. However WSA doesn't block Java in IE9 even if IE is set to Protected. It looks like that this issue is somehow related to today's release of new Opera 12. Thanks & regards, pegas EDIT: have noticed that not only Java plugins are being blocked but also Flash Player plugins. It seems that WSA blocks all plugins across my Opera unless Opera is set Allow.
I have an issue mainly with Firefox but occasionally IE and Chrome as well. It just started up int the past 2 or so weeks. The computer will boot up, and after waiting for it to fully load, I'll attempt to connect to the internet but it either will run really slowly or won't connect at all, stating that the proxy won't allow it. I'll go into the browser and change the settings to "no proxy" and it will work better, but the next time I boot up, it starts all over. I contacted Mozilla, and they had me do a bunch of stuff, including uninstalling and reinstalling, and changing a preferences file so that it was forced to build a new one, yet every day, it's back to either slow running or not being able to get on until I tweak the settings. Finally it was suggested it was my computer and eithe a web security software issue or malware. I've run the software a number of times and no viruses or malware is located. I ran ccleaner to clean out cookies,
Is webroot IS plus enough when offline. Pls suggest.
From what I understand, the password manager toolbar only comes with the Webroot Internet Security Plus or Complete right? But my product is just called "Webroot Secure Anywhere." So how did the toolbar installed automatically to my Google Chrome browser before? Unless I do have one of these versions that I'm not seeing and if I do, how do I get it back? I already tried reinstalling my product, but it didn't do anything.
I'm trying to install certain reputable internet programs such as "imgburn", that I've used for years, on my new computer. But webroot is saying they have malware (this includes Skype!) How do I make webroot less "picky"? Paul
Can Webroot Security Anywhere be installed on a computer in Safe Mode? Installing via CD.
Hi everyone. I have webroot internet security plus and I am running it on windows 8. Its version is 8.04.24. I recently upgraded to windows 8.1 and noticed that webroot's right click scan and permanently erase function does not work. I tried restarting the computer and reinstalling the software. Does anyone have any other solutions to this problem and is the development team aware of this issue and will fix the problem soon? Thanks.
I have added 2 new groups in addition to the Default group. When I add a new site under one of my new groups, it displays as another group with the same name. I have a series of groups with the same name and only one site listed for each. Am I creating the groups incorrectly or what? I have high hopes for the Password Manager, but need help with this aspect. Thanks.
Web root is going crazy and opening multiple scan for malware message but is not scanning
Hats off to Webroot Staff for clearing up to spam postings. Ive noticed a void however while searching the various topics and wondered if the Staff could comment. Not so long ago there was a super valuable group of Forum Wizards who would come to the rescue of Webroot customers who had a question or an issue. Lately I have noticed that when a customer has a question the responders are always suggesting to open a support ticket. Where have all those Wizards ( not that the Webroot staff aint wizards ) gone to ???? Folks like Jasper the Rasper and Sheltieuk and Acooldozen and Muddy7 and Baldrick and J.P.and especially Sherry; used to reply with a solution in the blink of an eye To open up a support ticket seems a waste of time and a burden on the technicians compared to those Wizards who used to faithfully reply in a matter of moments. Thumbs up for correcting the spam issue but its now time to bring back the Forum Wizards.
I just noticed that Webroot changed the name from "Essentials" to "Internet Security Plus 2013" :D http://www.webroot.com/En_US/consumer-products-secureanywhere-internet-security-plus.html Different Name, Same Excellent Product. ;) Edit: I looks like they added Password Protection . 😃
So.....so far loving webroot, especially the concept behind the anti-virus. The firewall leaves me puzzled... How do you disable the 60 second auto-allow countdown? I have it set to ask on everything. Auto-allowing after 60 seconds is thus pointless...if I'm not sitting at the computer, it will allow...and I can't even stop the timer. If I want to research an app for a moment, the connection is allowed and I can't stop it unless I block it when I don't want to. It should be able to just sit happily until I take action...be it seconds or days later. So....where is that option hiding? Searching didn't help much. (And, keep up excellent work! :))
I junked my old security suite, Vipre, because it had gone to the dumps and I have discovered Webroot Internet Security and so far so good, but I was wondering if anyone had any idea about how I can allow Dslreports.com check my computer for security leaks? I am getting a Java stop even though I have put the site in the exclusions section. If anyone can help, I would be greatly appreciative! Also, please tell me I do not have to have Windows Defender running? Thanks in Advance, Tracker
i test my webroot with comodo firewall leak test and get 50 from 340 score . it is good ? this test is valid ?
Just curious, does anyone run a second anti virus for a double layer of protection? Tom:cathappy:
Hi Folks I have two computers protected with WSA Essentials. In the My Account list they are both shown but one computer shows the results of the last scan, the other infers that the computer has never been scanned (which it has). Any ideas? Thanks John *edit for useful subject line - admin
