This release strengthens our cyber resilience strategy by delivering a true SaaS-based backup solution, eliminating the need for partners to manage or provision their own cloud storage.
What is being released?
Server Backup Public Cloud (OpenText Hosted Cloud) enables Secure Cloud partners to protect Windows servers using OpenText hosted storage, fully managed and integrated within the Secure Cloud platform.
This offer provides a seamless, end to end experience where backup and security services are delivered from a single platform without requiring partners to bring their own cloud.

Pricing is based on data protected, not storage consumption in the cloud.
- 1 Backup Unit represents 10 GB with standard retention (1 year) or 7 GB with custom retention (up to 7 years).
- This model enables MSPs to predict costs accurately without dependency on data change rates, compression, or deduplication.
- Flexible deployment across customers
Partners can use BYOC for some customers and OpenText‑Hosted for others, based on customer needs and requirements.
- Immutable Backups (MVP)
Backups configured with immutability cannot be deleted for 7 or 30 days, even if Secure Cloud credentials are compromised.

Web Threat Shield
Today we release two major, previously announced features to GA. Both of these features were previously released and announced for Beta users. Following the Beta testing and feedback process these are now available to all Consumer segment users:
PII Protection (Experimental) is a new awareness capability in Web Threat Shield that warns users before potentially sensitive personal information is submitted to supported AI chat websites (currently ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Google AI Mode). It is designed to reduce accidental data exposure while preserving user choice and workflow. Support for Claude is planned for CYQ4. Learn more about this feature here.
CBA (Chatbot Annotation) for Google Gemini extends our existing search engine result annotation in‑line security and credibility annotations directly to AI‑generated responses, helping users assess potential risk, trustworthiness, and safety of chabot answers in real-time. The experience is informational and non‑blocking, enabling users to make better‑informed decisions when relying on AI responses without interrupting normal workflows. This release marks the first surface launch for CBA, with upcoming releases planned for Google AI Mode, followed by ChatGPT. Support for Claude is planned for CYQ4. We are excited to announce the successful release of MailStore Cloud 26.2.

- Remove mailbox: Selected archive mailboxes can now be deleted even if they still contain mails
- Several minor improvements and bug fixes, such as an improved process log, SMTP chunking/BDAT support and more.
