For all of you acronym junkies, I’m pleased to announce that WWSS is now WSAWSS!
Now that I’ve got your attention, let me explain a name change to one of our bedrock products, Webroot Web Security Service. This offering uses best-of-breed technology to stop malware in the cloud before it can enter customers’ networks or infect mobile devices. Like most Webroot products, it’s easy to install and reduces network cost and complexity. With this change comes some user-requested improvements to Web Security Service, including a link to the Webroot Business Community on the dashboard as part of the solution.
This week we began rolling out the improved product with a new name -- Webroot SecureAnywhere Web Security Service. We’re making the change for three reasons:
- The name Webroot SecureAnywhere highlights a key differentiator between Webroot and its competitors,
- It’s aligned with our other recent product names, and
- It completes our consistency of the brand throughout all Webroot dashboards and products.
Oh, and try to avoid using the acronym (see below)
