Well this just tops it all and is a perfect follow on from my comment here Smart devices abandoned on the road to nowhere
I can imagine in a few very short years people forgetting how to do simple tasks like switching on a light.

It might have taken its time to arrive in the UK – a year after hitting the shelves in the US – but the Amazon Echo home speaker system is now on sale and has since been subject to much hype.
 Without doubt, this is thanks to the brains behind the machine: Alexa, a personal voice assistant that resides at the core of Echo, carrying out your everyday needs. Along with outside developers, Amazon continues to produce "skills," or specialised applications that give you neat features when activated.

The era of the couch potato is upon us!  ROFL.
 
I believe it's already here! Look at all the electronic crap we have now. Hell you don't even have to get off the couch to go grocery shopping anymore. All the kids know now is the computer / computer games. They bring caculators to class now to solve math problems. They don't have to think anymore. We can probably change that to the "Era of the Dumb Couch Potato" LOL.
