I think I was misunderstood earlier.  In the past, when I wanted to access some info to print I clicked on it on the page and it went to the top of my right side screen.  I then clicked on it and the information or whatever it was appeared and I could read and/or print it.  As of yesterday, when I did the same process, when I clicked at the top of the screen, the item or page I needed did not appear.  Instead, I got that box with a message "Internet Shortcut Shell Extension DLL" Microsoft Corp.  It would not open the info or page I needed, instead, all the clicking did was cause the same message to appear.   I have tried all day to see if anyone else has had a problem with Firefox not downloading and opening their selected info but no one even knows what the message means.   Is there any one here who has an idea what the problem is?  Thank you very much!
? why didn't you continue this in the other topic you posted about this?? Now it's a bit confusing. Thought it was a second user suffering the same problem...

And don't worry we don't bite if you are not computer savvy 😃 We're here to try and help you and every other member in this community regardless of your computer knowledge... Did you hear from the tech you were going to contact?
I didn't know I could just add it to the other post.  I also wanted to make sure you understood what my problem really was and maybe someone could answer it for me.  I emailed the tech yesterday but think he may be out of town or off for the holidays.  If I don't get a response by tomorrow, I will call his phone number and see if I can reach him that way.  He has just worked on Firefox twice for me this month so I hope he can recognize easier what is causing the problem.  I also have been getting a "Firefox is running but not responding" message which he was supposed to have fixed last week but it is returning again.  I should have stayed with Webtv.   I don't think I am in the computer generation.  I am more afraid of computers than rabid rats!
Ok if techie can't find it immediately ask him to try and remove FF from your system, restart it & then try to install it again. It's but a thought but let's see
