My Laptop is painfully slow. The analyzer indicates Graphics RAM is low.  Also active process with memory leak (MicrosoftEdgeCP.exe) and active process with handle leak (MicrosoftEdge.exe)

I have a

 Dell E6420 - PC

Intel Cor i5-2520 CPU @ 2.50GHz Processor

8.00 GB (7.88 GB usable) RAM

64 bit operating system

Windows 10 Pro version 1903 installed 09/06/2019 OS Build 18362.476

I look at my CPU usage and it constantly runs 25% or less.  Memory constantly runs 63-65% at about 5.0 or 7.9GB.  Disk 0 (C:) can spike to 40% when opening an App.  One time I saw 73% for less than a second. GPU 0 NVIDIA NVS 4200M  will spike to 13% when opening a web page but comes back down quickly.

I am constantly getting recover webpage messages.  But also when opening applications like Excel, Word etc.  I type and it takes a long time for the screen to catch up and show what I typed.  It’s like it’s on a time delay.  Any ideas as to what I should be looking at and what tools I could use to better discern my issue?  Thanks

One clarification.  I do not do any gaming.  I’ve only run videos a couple of times but the do tend to take a long time loading or get choppy sometimes for videos I have on my hard drive.

Hello @Maddog54E

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Would you take a look at this THREAD where they are talking about memory leaks?

Also you can uninstall/reinstall Webroot and see if that fixes some of your issues.

Please follow the steps closely!

  • Be sure you add your Keycode to your Online Console: Webroot SecureAnywhere Online Console
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Geek Squad Subscription PC users click HERE) Let us know if it is the Mac version you need
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and DO NOT import any old settings as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
