I have been having hacker in my computer so I havent had webroot running on my computer but my husband had it running on his and our extra computer had it on it also. I went to reinstall it on my computer and come to find out my husband computer is running it and 4 other computers of unknown where abouts but old names of computers we use to have?? I deleted those ones turned off the service on those ones. Then I tried to add me back on and it was a no go hackers wouldn't let me back in they have found a way to block me out of the account and needless to say they are in my husbands computer!! How do I get back into the service and get us back up and running, I've never been happy with webroot from the beginning always fighing it to catch malware coming in and viruses, I would catch it on my computer befor they everwould but it was to late now I have 79 days and people around the country have been in my paypal account ect. IVe been hacked and I'm made!!! How does a virus and Malware proection program get hacked!!! when it's suppose to be protecting your computer!!! What a wast of Money!!! I'm going to the FTC on theis one a SCAM for sure!!!!!!!

If you PayPal and other accounts have been affected, it sounds like your EMAIL account has been hacked. I would strongly suggest that you change the passwords to your email, and all accounts that are tied to it. Please remember to use a STRONG password (Upper and Lower case letters, at least one number, and one non alphanumeric (Such as $ or & for example).
In regards to your Webroot Account, if the four computers you removed were all computers you no longer own, the reason is quite simple: In order to remove WSA from your Account Console, you must either uninstall the software while connected to the Internet, or use the deactivation process that you ended up using. Uninstalling WSA from a computer that is NOT connected to the Internet will not remove it from the Account.
WSA is one of the most effective antimalware programs on the market, but one thing that it does NOT do is remove non-malicious adware. Among the most common adware are browser extensions that cause a profusion of pop-up ads, but they do not do anything actually malicious nor do they attempt to collect any personal information (such as spyware would). Having worked at the Geek Squad for a number of years, I found that it was a VERY common misperception that people did not understand that most adware really is not malware. It is annoying, very annoying, but it really does not hurt anything. (I still highly suggest removing it as it is annoying, and I do not like ads)
As for getting WSA onto your computer.. you say it is refusing to install. Can you please describe or provide a screenshot of exactly what error message is being displayed? Chances are pretty good we can figure out why it is being stubborn and get that taken care of.
