After running a scan, I noticed that something is NOT WORKING AND SHOULD BE REINSTALLED--WEBROOT.

McAfee is still on my computer, a version of AOL that supposes to look after only what may affect AOL on my computer.  AOL is my service provider for my email addresses, & associated passwords.  AOL LIVE is technical services but only with regard to AOL…

Please advice about this MIX.  It is confusing now that I have WEBROOT and need to know IF there my WEBROOT cares for my electronic devices in all necessary software issues that may or may not impact the functiioning of these devices, not including hardware issues.

Thank yu kindly,

Hello @kathirenej ,

If I’m understanding you correctly, it sounds like you have both McAfee and Webroot installed on your computer, correct? If you have a full subscription of Webroot on your PC, then you can go ahead and uninstall McAfee. From reading various other threads, my understanding is that McAfee and Webroot don’t play very nice together. Additionally, McAfee tends to be far more resource-heavy on your computer and will cause more issues with computer performance than Webroot.

If you’re having troubles with Webroot specifically, please contact our Support team here: https://www.webroot.com/us/en/support/home-contact

If I misunderstood your issues, please feel free to clarify and I’ll do what I can to help you out!

Hello @kathirenej ,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

May I add to @khumphrey good advice? Here is the Removal Link to uninstall McAfee from you PC if you decide to go that route.

Best off to remove mcafee as well since they’ve had breeches and there will be a story about them secretly using it from crypto themselves. Some company in Israel is going to purchase them and they have allready sank thier claws into them. Rumoured to be linked to the malware company that purchased PIA VPN.
