Hi everyone,
I'm very new to the Unity API and have been playing around with some basic calls. I've just tried to use the ECom methods and realised I cannot get an ECom scope returned from the auth method, even if I explicitly request it.
In the documentation it suggests to contact my webroot representative, only I have no idea who that is.
Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, how did you solve it?

Hi @ ,
The ECom scope is used by our partners such as RMMs, who create and manage licenses for their customers. Think of it as a shopping cart for Webroot licenses. If you are looking to create site keycodes via the API, the Console scope should contain everything you require. Is there a specific use case you are looking to accomplish?
Thank you,
Joseph R.

Hi @ ,
Thanks for getting back to me so promptly.
We are building an integration with our billing platform. At this stage, it's for our own internal use, but we plan to commercialise it. I think you may be right, in that we don't need ECom scope having further reviewed the API.
Would it make sense for us to use ECom when we get to commercialisation point?

Hi @ ,
That would make the most sense. When you're at that point, reach out to your account manager or rep, and they can get you in touch with our teams internally to get the process rolling on setting you up for billing and provisioning via the Unity API. If you're not sure who to contact, feel free to shoot me a PM with your company details and I will get you in touch with the right person.
Best regards,
Joseph
