But OK, we need Windows 10 first eh ? The latest on that one would be a Summer Release. However on Twitter, MS evangelist Phil Spencer revealed that we are likely to start seeing games that take full advantage of DX12 from the ground up later on this year.
Microsoft’s Xbox One Chief Phil Spencer has been talking about DirectX 12 with curious Xbox community members through his Twitter account, and he claims that the console will see games developed specifically for the console by the end of this year.
When asked about to comment on the likelihood of developers adopting DX12 natively, Spencer went on to state that he thinks studios will do what’s best for them and that given the fact that DX12 is available on both Xbox One and Windows 10, developers shouldn’t find themselves short of DX12 gamers.
