HI-

I recently installed Webroot, and did not see in the instructions that I should uninstall my old expired Kaspersky. Everything seems like they are coexisting, but should I uninstall Kaspersky? It is my understanding that the Kaspersky Internet Security will keep on protecting, but with no updates. The nag warnings might become too much. Thanks for any advice.

Hi Cosmo44

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Whilst there is no need to uninstall Kaspersky due to compatibility issues; there should be none given that WSA is designed from the ground up to  be compliant/coexist with other major security apps.

However, if you will be getting no further definition & program updates updates going forward, the extenþ of the protection will be lessened. Given that WSA will protect you very well on its own I do not see the point of keeping Kaspersky installed, plus having it running as well will only consume more resources and therefore add drag to your system.

I would therefore uninstall.

Hope that helps?
