With Androids, (smartphones) I feel need more protection then ever. I have Webroot Mobile on my cell and it does a great job protecting my data amd from getting malicious calls and sms messages.

 

There is a free Webroot mobile app if you wanted to try it at the Google Play Store and for the Webroot Premier.

 

So my answer to this to this is with all the Security News about Android malware and identy theft it's important to have this security intact and peace of mind knowing you are protected.

Simply put: yes.  There is more and more malware being released on mobile platforms.  In my own case, WSA has detected a few malicious programs on my children's tablet.  I would not have my tablet, nor that of my kids, on the internet without it.

If I may add to what has already been said in response to your question; WSA is ideal for putting on a tablet re. the protection need that has been advised due to its lightness and minimal use of resources when compared to other solutions that might be considered, whilst giving unsurpassed protection.
