Hi tempnexus
WSA does provides excellent protection against ransomware, mainly due to its monitoring/journalling of unknown or undetermined processes/files...but you should remamber that new variants are constantly being released in an attempt to stay ahead of anti malware applicaitons like WSA.
Please look HERE at what happens if Webroot misses a virus, and also at THIS at this video about Webroot & Ransomware https://www.brighttalk.com/webcast/8241/127363
Hope this helps?
