Good morning all, wishing you all less burdens and brighter hope for the new year, I for one am extremely grateful for all the things I DO NOT have.

I know Webroot is not intended for this, but I"m wondering, if I there is a way for webroot to remove a program that dosen't have a uninstall for it?? Problem being that Best Buy (at the store) had tried to install Trend antivirus when I first bought the "Beast" but it didn't install right, so I had purchased Webroot. Now all the files from Trend are still on the "Beast", and no uninstall option. and wonderful Geek Squad keeps ignoring it when I ask them about it. That being said, could I use webroot to remove it if I use the manual threat removal tool? since it removes the registry etc. files
Hello @,

Happy New Year and I'm also greatful for what I do have... ;)

Please look here to find answers to remove Trend. https://esupport.trendmicro.com/en-us/home/pages/technical-support/1105809.aspx

More information here: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Techie-KB/3rd-Party-Software-Removal-Tools/ta-p/204388

If that does not work you can use Revo Uninstaller which is a good program for stubborn removals.

NEW: Revo Uninstaller Freeware v2.0.1 http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html

Download and Install

Hope this helps?
Adding to Sherry's post, I also highly recommend using the Trend Micro Remnant File Remover Tool listed on their support site.

I hope this helps!!!
Thank you so much, there's nothing like the Webroot community to get honest answers. And to think you all do this out of the kindness of your hearts.....I'm blessed to have found you (the community) I try to learn something each time I visit. Have a great day! Kate
Thank you for the warm words, Kate. It's a pleasure & delight to help you :cathappy: Happy New Year!!!
