proxy server is not responding

I have windows 8, and I recently renewed my web root subscription. Whenever I open internet explorer, I get the proxy error. I have already tried to delete the proxy setting numbers and uncheck the proxy box in internet options, but neither change was saved. Also web root doesn't seem to realize I have a current subscription, I did get it to sane the new code. I installed an adobe upgrade just before this issue...which I think must have been a virus. Web root did scan and remove threats several times, but I am still getting this error and can't connect to the internet. Please help.

Would you mind reinstalling Webroot to elimate that this could be the problem.
 
Can you please do a clean reinstall of WSA and Please follow the steps closely!
 
  • Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
