2 similar computers...one scans take less than a minute the other's scan takes over 9 minutes. Why the difference?

Similar computers does not equal exactly identical computers.  Scan speeds are affected by, among other things:

 


  • Exact CPU speed
  • Amount of RAM
  • Hard drive disk speed
  • How many programs are installed
  • What TYPE of programs are installed
  • How BIG the programs installed are
For example.  I had a scan time of under 2 minutes.

 

Then I installed Office and Visual Studio.  Now it takes 7 minutes on average 🙂
