I purchased Webroot this morning because iTunes opens when the laptop is sleeping and begans playing music, there must be a problem. The results of the first scan showed no problems where there most certainly is one. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi HI_Horseman
Welcome to the Community Forums.
I am far from being a Mac expert but I have not heard of this one before. Perhaps our resident Mac guru ? may have come across this and can provide some advice/guidance?
I did do some research and cam across the following two thread (HERE & HERE) over at the Apple Support Forums that may be of assistance, in the interim?
Regards, Baldrick

Hi ?
Sorry to say I have not run into this issue ever. Do you think you might have a PUA or have you thought of uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling it?Or if there is an update?
I also found this article here https://support.apple.com/kb/Ph14076?locale=en_US
Not sure but have you checked your Preferences in Privacy or in Users Account to see what might be starting up after after a sleep mode? Have you checked your iTunes settings?
Some programis triggering iTunes to start up? EDITED Is there Home sharing in iTunes or are you signed out of iTunes?
😠

Thanks Sherry, I have changed a few settings and we will see what happens. I work in the outbacks of the Big Island and only have web access on Sundays, sorry for the late response.
Baldrick, By golly I think you found my problem, I only hear iTunes after I pause or shut off AppleTV.
Thanks a bunch,
Hawaii Horseman

Hi HI_Horseman,
Thanks for getting back to us. If you think you have any PUAs you can always Submit a Support Ticket free of charge and they will certainly look your system over for you.
And you are most welcome!:D

Hi HI_horseman
Glad to be of assistance. You have not said if you have definitively resolved the issue and if so exactly what turned out to be the cause. If you have done so then please be kind enough to post back here as such feedback is invaluable to us in terms of assisting members in the future when they come here with the same or similar problems.
Many thanks in anticpation.
