I have an existing version of security anywhere on a PC.  I purchased a PC for my daughter and also purchased the newest version of Secure Anywhere.  This allows to install on up to 3 devices and i want to install it on the PC with an expired version.  When I put the disc in it wants me to renew the version that is on the PC online.  I want to install from the new disc I have.  How can I make this happen/

Hello nascar1,

Welcome to the Community Forum,

Please uninstall your version of Webroot on PC and Please follow these instructions here to install Webroot without the disc ..

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example:SA69-AANA-A783-DE78-C584
  • KEEP the computer online install to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • install WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again

Please let us know if that resolves your issue?

Thanks,
Hi nascar1

Welcome to the Community Forums.

You should not need to uninstall the old and install the new, if the old is an old version of WSA...but rather just enter the new keycode that came with the CD.  You can do this by clicking on the cog/gear symbol to the right of 'My Account' in the main WSA application panel, and that should reveal a new panel with a large white entry field, with an 'Activate' button below it.  Just enter your new keycode in there and press 'Activate', makings ure that you are connected to the internet, and that should do the trick.  I supect that you will also get the actual app upgraded to the latest version of WSA.
