I've noticed an increased use of symbols in the make up of passwords. Will Webroot update for this?

Hi Jay62
Welcome to the Community Forums.
The Password Manager password generator currenlty generates passwords with symbols.
I am suspect that you have not enabled their use in the generation of password. You can do this by (i) clicking on 'Generate Secure Password', (ii) click on 'Show Advances options' & (iii) then check or tick the '!$%@#' option displayed at the end of the line of allowable characters.
Hope that helps?

Thanks for that Baldrick. As a home grown advert states "simples" . Appreciate the answer.
Hi Jay62
You are most welcome. Glad to help.
KISS or Keeping It Stupidly Simple is what we try to do here in the Community...only because 'simple' is best. :D
And, yes...Sergei would approve. ;)

On a totally different subject. When do you think Microsoft Edge will accept Webroot as an extension?
Hi Jay62
Well, that is a very good question and one that we do not have an answer for other than to say "as soon as it is doable"...MS have just started to 'enable' extensions for Edge but the process will be slow given their focus on security, but I am sure that as soon as they can the Weroot Development Team will be preparing suitable extensions.
We will probbaly get them in the Beta group first and no doubt news of that will 'leak' out at some stage...but so far no time line has been provided...but I would be surprised if it is longer than 6 months at most (but that is just my guess).
