will webroot automatically scan a pop-up notice to download an update?
I am getting a 'click to run" pop-up saying an update is available and askinmg if I want to start downloading now. How can I know if webroot will scan it for safety?

Sherry is quite correct. We need to understand more about how and what the popup is presenting as, since there are a number of instances in which a popup can be legitimate. We need to know when it appears, i.e., judt when using a specific browser, when accessing specific sites, or when no browser is being used, etc.
