Does anyone know if Webroot has any plans to enforce FIPS 140-2 compliant encryption for user files? Our state has legeslation going into affect that makes us encrypt to that standard because we use state funding in our operation. Other endpoint protection vendors are doing it but I'd rather not start dealing with yet another management system.
As far as I know we have no plans of getting into the file encryption business.  You're talking about full disk encryption of all user files?
Yes. It looks like I'll have to use one of the reccomended systems to comply.
