All,

When initially setting up our client's Webroot console and endpoints, everything went very smoothly and the rollout had no major issues to speak of.

One of the interesting things the process did bring to light, was that some of our workstations still had manually assigned (instead of DHCP) IP address and DNS information.

Armed with a list of these workstaions, I changed one or two, to see the effects on the webroot console. My problem now....Webroot cannot execute ANY commands against these workstations (because of the new IP address) but DOES still see them reporting in at the old IP address schema.

My question is.....Why is webroot still getting reporting data, but NOT able to see and therefore move the affected workstation into the right IP schema under it's "Views | IP" section? How do I correct this?

Thanks,

-Steve
The first thing I'd suggest is an uninstall and reinstall on one of those machines, to see if that does the trick.  I'll ping support to see what else they suggest.
Ok support suggested checking the polling interval - if it's set to 24 hours for instance, then the console can take that amount of time to update from the client.  If you want to force a refresh, try right-clicking the Webroot tray icon from one of the clients, and selecting Refresh Configuration - that forces the client to talk to the console right then.  If things still don't update let me know and I can have support reach out to you.
