How can I prevent users (non administrator) from Shutting Down SecureAnywhere Protection. We had this enforced on our previous antivirus and we want to continue locking down our users from manually shutting it down by going to the icon right click and shutdown. I found ShutdownOption via Orca working on the msi file but that does not seem to work. Please advise.
Hello @,

Welcome to the Webroot Community.

You can change this setting by navigating to the basic configuration settings and then toggle "Allow Webroot to be shut down manually"

I hope this helps and please do not hesitate to let me know if you require any further assistance.

Best Regards,

First off you will have to have a user-set policy. If you don't have one, make a copy of the recommended defaults.

To answer your question, yes, there is an option to disallow users from manually shutting down the client. In your current policy in the Basic Configuration tab there's a switch titled "Allow SecureAnywhere to be shut down manually" a touch down that list, 5th from the bottom. Just turn that to off and you should be good.

Also, you can hide the tray icon in that same tab. Should be the second option from the top. All 6 of those top options in that tab will pretty much make it transparent to all but the more tech-savvy users. There's also a tab called User Interface, where you can turn off the GUI for extra user lockout.
