Hello All,

 

I have an infected laptop and do not want to allow it access to our corporate network.

 

I downloaded the webroot windows install file and installed it on the laptop, but when I try to scan the laptop it says Aborted.

 

Also, when I try to switch on Realtime shield etc. it says that the subscription is expired.

 

Are these symptoms because the laptop is not connected to the internet?  if so, is there a way around this so that I can disinfect the laptp without putting in on my corporate network?

Do you have a separate network or VLAN you could connect it to?  Webroot really needs to be online to talk to our database to resolve the issue.
Nic, I do have a hotspot I can use. I just wanted to know if there was any offline method.

Once it's installed an has talked to our server it will work offline, in terms of journalling changes on new processes until it can get back online.  But for the initial setup you'll need it online.  Let us know how it goes!
