I am having trouble figuring out if and how I can back up and sync existing photos from my android phone through this app. Can anyone help me???

Hello tsweett2727, Welcome to the Webroot Community!
I am no expert with the Mobile Backup&Sync, and have had my share of problems with it as well, but I think I have the answer for this one for you.
Open Backup&Sync on your Android device
Log in if needed.
Click the Camera button at the bottom
Click "Upload Current Media"
Your upload screen will open. By default ALL pics found will be selected. If you wish to upload ALL pics, simply click the OK button.
If you want to deselect all in order to manually select which pics to upload, click the Toggle button.
If you need to cancel the upload, obviously the Cancel button would work for that :)
