I installed WSA at 5pm, and that's when it's scheduled to run.
I usually have my browser open at 5pm, and often miss the scan!
I also don't like not knowing if I'm infected from the day before!?
Is there some way to schedule the scan soon... after cold startup (time varies..., and scan only takes 36sec), or would this interfere with the system loading...?

If you click on 'Advanced Settings' and then on the 'Scheduler' tab to get access to the page where you can change the scan time but you also have the option to run a scan on boot up should the computer is off at the time the scheduled scan should have run.
And to be honest I am fairly certain that you will not see much of an impact on the oveall boot time...but give it a go if not already enabled...and see if it works for you.

I couldn't find an option to scan at boot time, so I tried scan at Reboot-
This didn't work out, as IE11 became Very Slow to load/run.
I went back to scan daily @ 5pm, and IE is fast again..
BTW- Changes to scan..., didn't take effect until After the next Cold boot....
BTW2- Opera is Much faster tham IE11/Chrome!
Opera has a built-in option to Block Advertising (no slow extension), and the Settings interface is Very Easy!
