Webroot will not allow me to download a software product that I purchased.  I had to uninstall the softare and re-install the esoftware and Webroot is stopping the installating indicating that it is Adware and/or Malware.  Is there anyway to stop this from happening so I can downloard the software.
Hi kiki31

Welcome to the Community Forums.

If a download is being blocked by WSA then it is either that (i) it should be blocked because it is malicious, (ii) that contains some add on/bundled software that you most likely are not aware of; what we call PUAs or Potentially Unwanted Applications or (iii) it is a False Positive.

Assuming that (i) is unlikely as you have requested the download and so should know what you are looking to bring onto your system then if (ii) please make sure that you are downloading from the app author's own or accredited website and NOT a 3rd party website like CNet, etc., as most of these sites are notorious for bundling additional software (it is how they make money) which at best installs something that you will not use whilst at worth will install adware on your system after which you will be plagued by popups, etc. If using a 3rd party site cancel the download and try the author's site...I suspect that this will go through.

If (ii) does not resolve the issue for you then it could be a case of (iii) in which case your best bet is to Open a Support Ticket, notifying the Support Team so that they can check out the download and if necessary/appropriate, whitelist it in the Webroot Cloud. Please note that this might take a little while to come through.

Well, hope that helps...but if not then please come back here for additional assistance.

Regards, Baldrick
