Hello barbarabratton,

Welcome to the Community Forum,

Can you tell me if Webroot is still installed and it's not scanning? Did you reboot your Computer? Is Webroot in the system tray?

Sorry for all the questions but it would be nice to know what is not working or if you need to do a clean reinstall of Webroot and  if so,

Please make sure you following these instructions exactly.

  • Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
If this doesn't help then please issue a Support Ticket free of charge with an active subscription.

Do let us know how things are going or if you can provide more information concerning this.

Best Regards,

Another thing to add is that you might have to go to your Online Console and Deactivate the PC in question because it almost sounds like a clean OS reinstall but can't say for sure. http://live.webrootanywhere.com/content/669/Viewing-PC-status

@  has a VERY good point.  If WSA detects what it thinks is a different computer, due to the OS change, it could very well have left the license seat active on the previous Windows installation and thus blocking it from the current one.

Any time WSA is either NOT uninstalled, or uninstalled when NOT connected to the internet , it can cause the license seat to be locked and require it to be deactivated as Daniel suggested.  (I should have thought of it, but I am used to thinking in a mulitple seat license to be honest and I just plain missed this point!)
