I am trying to install the webroot security online after purchasing the cd at Best Buy but the code won't work.

The best thing to do is to contact support , and ask Webroot Support to take a look this for you. There is no charge for this if you are a WSA license holder, with a current subscription.

If I may add to Petrovics advice...
You can call Best Buy Store and they should have your code listed in their records from your purchase. Do you have your reciept?
Also make sure you are using a 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example:SA69-AANA-A783-DE78-C584.
