Couldn't put in my personal security code so I guess it never downloaded??
Hi Marsha,

Welcome to the Webroot Community.

The personal security code is a word or number chosen by you at the time you register your account online, and then whenever you log into your Web Console you will be asked to enter certain characters from the code you have chosen. This is not needed to download or install Webroot, that would be your keycode (it can be a little confusing at first). But you will need to create your online account, eventually. So please try the instructions below to see if you can get Webroot up and running.

Please follow the steps below closely in terms of installing WSA on the target system/machine!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • Be sure you have added your Keycode to your Online Console: Webroot SecureAnywhere Online Console. If you haven't already created an account then please click the "Sign up now" button, in the console.
  • KEEP the computer online during the install to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Geek Squad Subscription PC users click HERE). Let us know if it is the Mac version you need.
  • Install with the new installer, entering your Keycode when prompted to do so in the install process
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot
Please let us know if this resolves your issue. If you're still having trouble just let us know and we will be glad to assist.
