Any experience in this?
Hi jmds1951

Welcome to the Community Forums.

We usually get the question of whether there is a need for either one of these AND WSA but not for them together.

As to whether they will play well together, that we cannot really say as this is a Webroot Forum and we specialise in things Webroot. All I can say from previous experience is (i) AVG tends to be quite invasive of the systems it is installed on and hard to remove (one usually has to resort to running the AVG Remover utilityy to get it off a system) & (ii) Windows Defender in terms of protection is inferior to WSA certainly, and I would suspect that it is also inferior to AVG.

Now if you were asking as to whether WSA plays nicely with either of the aforementioned then I would say 'Yes' though bear in mind that the way it should work is that when WIndows detects a 3rd party security app installed it should by default turn Windows Defender off, but that does not always happen

Hope that helps?

Regards, Baldrick
