will webroot AND KASPERSKY work with or against each other
Page 1 / 1
Hello and Welcome to the Webroot Community!
They should work well with each other and it's up to you if you run both IMO you don't need Kaspersky and I will invite@ our KAV & WSA expert to see if he knows if they still work well with each other?
This is the WIN network that WSA works on and not your PC: http://www.brightcloud.com/platform/webroot-intelligence-network.php
Thanks,
Daniel ;)

Hi calijo
Welcome to the Community Forums.
EDIT: Daniel beat me to it...again, LOL :D
To answer Daniel's question; as far as I am aware KIS 2015 works fine with the current version of WSA...but you can maximise this being the case by making the 'adjustments' as I mention below. Also, I should add that KIS has it's own Firewall so completely disbales the built in WIndows one...should you ever decide to uninstall KIS and try WSA by itself make sure that you check for and re-enable if 'Off' the Windows Firewall as WSA requires it to cover the inbound connections.
I will jump in here as a former of both KIS & WSA at the same time...and the answer is 'YES'...WSA is designed from the ground up to be compliant/work well with the other main security apps.
But just make sure of that, as an extra precaution you can exclude the key components of each & the relevant folders for each app in the other, i.e.e, maker WSA a trusted appication in KIS, and excluded the Webrtoot/WRData folders from scanning by KIS, and 'Allow' under PC Security > Block/Allow, the all the main KIS components (there is not yet a feature to exclude a whole folder from scanning in WSA).
Hope that helps, and that eventually, like me, you decide to drop KIS and major on WSA 😉?
Regards, Baldrick
