? you have to admit that the details provided are a bit brief... Let's start off first by saying be welcome in the community and i'll see what can be done for you. Could you tell us if you tried to update a driver just before the ( i suppose you got the Microsofts most annoying screensaver ) Bluescreen crash happened. How good are your computer skills??

So sorry it has been so long since I posted and just now to reply. I'm a Granny and not very current on the tech stuff. I haven't read the sections that were suggested yet. I didn't get the blue screen of death, but the msg popped up in a baloon shape and when I hit key/keyboard/clicked the mouse--the computer just turned off. Hasn't done it since, but was informed today that my email is sending out wierd msgs. I scan with webroot everytime I power up and it has never shown any problem. I will go back to read the suggestions. Thank you
? a granny on a computer that's a good thing too. Computers are for all ages.
Who told you your computer is sending out weird messages? Do you have a trustworthy tech living nearby? One you can trust he knows a lot about pc's? Maybe involve one of them too

? tell one of the recipients of such weird mails NOT TO DELETE one of such weird emails but to keep it ( just in case & for reference purpose only ). Don't go play with the mail but just store it somewhere . There could be more interesting data in that mail then you may imagine.
